Alexa has been in San Diego doing karate with her aunt for a couple of weeks. We will get to see her on Sunday---we were asked to pick her up at the airport at 10:05 am. Brandon will go---as we teach our Sunday school class at 10:15 am. I hope I can get Jake to sleep so I can teach. For those of you who didn't know, Brandon & I teach the 12 & 13 year old class. We have a great group---love them all. Anyway, Alexa is doing well and she loves Jake. Here is a cute snapshot of them taken a couple of weeks ago.
Now that I have the camera out for Jake, Isabel wants her picture taken as well. Hmmm, I wonder who she takes after there?? Well, this is the last week of summer school. Next week she'll start gymnastics---once a week---and I hope tennis too. I'll be sure to post pictures and let you all know how it goes.
Brandon, Isabel, and Jake got sick last Thursday with a cold. Don't ask me how that happened in the middle of the summer. Brandon & Isabel are better now---but Jake is still sick. We finally took him to the doctor yesterday, after a really bad night. His difficulty in breathing got scary, I couldn't suction anything out of his little nose, and I was afraid the cold had moved into his lungs. Luckily he's okay. We just have to wait for him to get better. At the doctor appointment, we also did his one-month check-up. Can you believe it's been one-month? He is now 11 lbs, 7 oz. So, he's getting big---but he's also getting very fussy. He wants to be held all the time---and I can't get a thing done! Here are some snapshots of him so you can see how he's growing.

Yes, we do think that Jacob looks like his dad---especially when you see the two of them in person. Last week I took these snapshots, which are not the best, but are fun just to see the two of them side by side. When Jacob relieves me from this zombie-no sleep phase, I hope to have more time to really get some nice pictures of father and son! :)

Alright, it wasn't so easy setting up this blog---thanks, Caity! :) It is definitely worth the time though---because I love the whole 'blog' way of keeping in touch. You started something good here. It really does help us stay close. Well everyone, here is the picture that I would have sent out in Jake's announcements--but decided to just post it online instead.
